If not ATL, which city in the world would you want to live in?

I’d live in Sydney or LA, Shanghai or Denver – but I’ve truly grown to love Atlanta;  less is more; and I’ve lived, worked, and traveled abroad.  I’m prepared to leave for the right adventure.

Have you ever had best friend drama?

Yes, when I didn’t understand myself. I didn’t understand how to make friends, especially gay friends. When a “friend” is offended by me,  I remember this: the people who care don’t matter, and the people who matter don’t care.

If you were president of the USA, what would be your first big piece of legislation?

I’d move to decrease senatorial terms. I’d cap corporate contributions to decrease the power of the lobbies, and push for a multi-party system. The American populace is too polarized and as long as we only feed them two polar opposites, we will be.  We’d accelerate change faster if we enabled the system to entertain more diversity of opinion.

Have you ever been featured in the news?

Not beyond the clippings from my youth – Eagle Scout, Chorus, Drama, etc.  But there is always the future…

Do you have pets?

No!! I have three daughters!   I love animals, but I’ve always favored people over pets. 

What food do you love the most?

Food someone else made for me! Makes me feel loved XOXO

How many countries have you been to?

I think maybe 30. I lived in Germany at 21 years of age, where my job flew me all over Europe and Asia to understand major foreign markets. What an incredible adventure!

Are you an extrovert or introvert?

Is that even a question? Extrovert; I drove my family crazy as a kid. Always in their space. But as I age, I like time alone more.

Favorite Vacation Destination: beach, mountain or city? What are your favorite things to do?

Any of the above provided I’m staying active: skiing, swimming, hiking, boating, museums, chillin’ in the hot tub or the pool. They are all beautiful parts of our world but if hard pressed … give me Hawaii!

Pick one, cheat or be cheated on?

Be cheated on … but there is no winner on either side. They are different sides of the same coin, and the road to recovery or departure is still journeyed together

The perfect job or the perfect relationship?

Don’t make me choose!  To be able to wake every day and know you are spending the majority of your life and existence for the betterment and love of the many in your job, that’s fucking beautiful.

But I’d like very much to share life with someone.  In the meantime, I focus myself on building solid friendships.  My youngest reminds me that we are practically married to our best friends too. And with that lens, I choose mine!  When Mr. Right comes along, he‘ll have great company!

What is your ultimate goal in life?

To do my best to father the incredible three spirits the Universe gave me; to do my best to love myself; to do my best to be the example I want to see in the world;  and to love others remarkably and in a way that encourages them to be their best selves.

I fail often and frequently and sometimes horribly, but that’s the beautiful thing about life – all we have is the future – a ripe opportunity to do more good.
