A Dose of CongreGAYtion

A Dose of the CongreGAYtion

Welcome to The Gayly Dose!

Christianity, as present as it is in the south, is a part of those taboo conversations many gay people shy away from having. As uncomfortable as it is to talk about, it is important because it is the root of trauma and triumph for a lot of people; building on these experiences can be so helpful in elevating the way we think about religion.

In this episode we talk about everything from bias and the connotation of gay in the church to what gay looks like in the church going forward – congreGAYtion. We take a hard look into how these religious ties affect our maturation process and how they furthermore affect the relationships we have with our families as adults.

If there is one takeaway from this episode, it is that being authentic in this experience is vital to happiness and peace in your life. Don’t sacrifice that comfort we all seek.
